Joey is thrilled be part of the Nursing team at Harrison Healthcare where she is working closely with patients to optimize their health and wellness. She is a fantastic coach and cheerleader to all her patients. Each journey is unique, and she celebrates all the positives steps – big and small – with her patients as they strive towards their individual health goals.
Joey completed her nursing degree at the University of Calgary in 1994 and specialized in community health and communicable disease prevention. In 2013 she switched gears and began to focus in family medicine, which has become a true passion. She loves the collaborative aspect of the Harrison practice where she can support patients’ mental and physical health by working together.
Travel health is a particular area of interest and expertise for Joey. Along with communicable disease prevention through vaccination, she hopes to increase knowledge in these areas for patients and colleagues alike, to ensure our clients can stay as safe as possible when exploring the many corners of the world.
In Joey’s spare time, she can be found relaxing by the lake and spending time with her wonderful family, golfing, skiing and taking their dog on adventures!
