Ultrasound Screening
Ultrasound is an imaging test that uses sound waves to create a picture of organs, tissues, and other structures inside the body. It can also show parts of the body in motion, such as a beating heart or blood flowing through vessels. Ultrasound can detect numerous abnormalities which may be indicative of disease. Unlike x-rays, an ultrasound does not require any radiation and is considered a safe, non-invasive test.
Harrison currently uses “point of care” ultrasound technology during routine care, however as part of your personalized health assessment, a more comprehensive and radiologist-supervised screening ultrasound examination may be recommended. This is provided at no cost to a client as part of the assessment service.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Harrison has partnered with leading providers of full-body and focused MRI screening exams for the early detection of cancer and over 350 other medical conditions. Harrison recommends you consult with your clinical team about the benefits of these exams in the context of your personalized care plan and health risk profile. Harrison provides coordination services with our partner providers and ensures these exams are included in your early detection and health surveillance plan when appropriate.
