ADHD in Children: Assessment and Management

Vancouver Nurse Practitioner Amra Dizdarevic  is a passionate clinician and educator dedicated to the health and wellness of children and youth. Her approach is prevention-focused, evidence-based, and infused with compassion and genuine care. Her training includes a mini-fellowship in pediatric psychopharmacology through the CanReach Institute. She has also played a significant role in the creation of Harrison’s ongoing care programs for children, youth, and young adults. Additionally, she has been instrumental in the development of our robust Mental Health Assessment Technology.

In this session we;

  • Review symptoms and functional impacts of ADHD in children and youth
  • Understand the DSM-5 criteria to diagnose ADHD in children and youth
  • Discuss non-pharmacological and pharmacological strategies for management of ADHD

This session was initially presented in a clinical environment. We anticipate that parents, teachers, and other caregivers familiar with ADHD will find the information useful and expect that it can be made relevant to provide additional context for your day-to-day life.

You will be able to access the event recording on the following page and receive it directly in your inbox.
