Thea Ulsamer

Thea finds it rewarding to see the difference that thorough, attentive care can make in a client’s experience. Although her work happens behind the scenes, she enjoys knowing that what she does supports the people and processes that make delivering a high standard of care possible. Having worked in different areas of Harrison, Thea has seen firsthand the level of detail that goes into helping clients feel supported by their healthcare team, and she motivated to contribute to optimizing health outcomes.

Thea holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia and has contributed in several departments and functions at Harrison, giving her a strong understanding of how teams and systems work together across the organization. Her experience includes supporting Harrison’s EMR migration and chart operations, researching the potential effects of GLP-1 medications on lean muscle mass, and exploring factors that may help inform health-risk prediction tools. These experiences have given Thea a practical understanding of both healthcare operations and research, which she now brings to her work in automation and artificial intelligence to help solve problems, improve processes, and support a more seamless client experience.

Outside of work, Thea has been involved in water polo for many years, first as an athlete and now as a coach. She also enjoys travelling, reading, and spending time with friends.
