Nancy appreciates working at Harrison because of the connections she is able to build with clients and her colleagues. She was motivated to move into a primary care setting where she can be involved in direct patient care, getting to know clients, help them follow their care plans, and watch them become successful on their health journey.
Nancy qualified as a Medical Office Assistant in 2004 at TriOS College in Ontario. She followed that with her Nursing Unit Clerk diploma in 2006 from Vancouver Community College. She has since gained experience in both the public and private sectors and loves to ensure a positive experience for patients from the first point of contact with her office, through what is sometimes a difficult time in their life.
Nancy was recently the executive secretary to the regional medical director at the BC Cancer Agency. Previous to this, she worked in the Heart Centre at St Paul’s Hospital as a unit coordinator in cardiology.
Nancy is a professionally trained pastry chef who enjoys baking custom cakes and French pastries, to the great pleasure of her colleagues who get to enjoy her tasty treats on occasion.
