IT Specialist

Mike Li

Mike brings a creative, solutions-focused approach to technology support, working through challenges in a practical and adaptable way. Being part of a collaborative team is important to him, and he takes pride in helping things run smoothly behind the scenes—supporting both colleagues and the broader care experience at Harrison. He places a strong focus on understanding the needs behind each request so that technology works effectively for the people using it. Mike has a particular interest in setting up devices and systems, helping team members get up and running quickly and confidently. When issues arise, he is responsive and reliable in troubleshooting, ensuring day-to-day operations stay on track.

Before transitioning into IT, Mike earned an Arts diploma and built a dynamic career in Vancouver’s film industry, working for over fifteen years as an actor, producer, and stunt coordinator. Collaborating closely with diverse teams on high-pressure productions, he developed a strong sense of teamwork while learning to think quickly, adapt under pressure, and approach challenges with creativity. He later transitioned into technology with the support of a mentor, where his problem-solving skills found a natural extension.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys video games, creative writing, and sketch comedy, and regularly practices mixed martial arts.
