Maidelyn Micosa

Maidelyn is a passionate caregiver who believes that a positive client experience can lead to better health outcomes. Her people-oriented approach and strong relationship-building skills enable her to create a comfortable and reassuring environment for those under her care. As a creative problem-solver and dedicated team player, Maidelyn thrives in multidisciplinary team settings, where she finds innovative solutions to ensure each client receives the best possible service. She leverages her diverse background in healthcare and customer service to make every visit to the lab as pleasant and stress-free as possible. Her exceptional organizational and time management skills allow her to efficiently manage the complex demands of diagnostic and screening procedures.

Maidelyn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at San Sebastian College followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017 from Dr. Yanga Colleges Inc. both in the Philippines. In 2013, she furthered her education in Canada by completing a Medical Laboratory Technician Diploma at Everest College in Scarborough. Her professional experience spans a variety of roles, including working as a Medical Laboratory Technician in hospitals and at Dynacare. Maidelyn’s expertise covers a wide range of diagnostic procedures, such as phlebotomy, ECG, urinalysis, blood culture gram staining, microbiology, chemistry, pathology, and COVID-19 PCR testing. Additionally, her versatile background includes experience as both a school nurse and a flight attendant, giving her a unique and compassionate perspective on healthcare.

Outside of work, Maidelyn embraces life’s adventures. She performs as a wedding and band singer, enjoys traveling, exploring hiking trails, and sampling new cuisines whenever she gets the chance.
