Linh Nguyen is driven by a deep commitment to personalized care plans and preventive healthcare. She believes the compassion she and everyone around her demonstrates at Harrison fosters an unparalleled sense of collaboration between staff and clients to drive better health outcomes. With an appreciation for the extensive time with clients the Harrison care model allows, Linh understands the impact this approach to care has on clients’ well-being.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008 and later completing a Masters in Nursing at UBC in 2018, Linh has developed a versatile skill set encompassing various areas of healthcare. While in nursing school, Linh worked at the front desk in optometry and dentistry, gaining valuable knowledge about patient care from diverse perspectives. She has since worked in a cardiology/cardiac surgery ward, focusing on heart health, chronic disease management, and wound care. She also trained as a perinatal nurse, with a particular love for the well-being of babies and children, as well as women’s health. Her experience in primary care includes conducting chart audits and leading Quality Improvement projects.
One of Linh’s greatest joys is helping clients by providing education and empowering them through knowledge. The “ah ha moments” when clients notice and take pride in their health progress bring Linh great satisfaction. As a lifelong learner and teacher, Linh has been an instructor in the Nursing program at Langara College in Vancouver. She believes there is always something to learn from clients’ unique experiences and hopes to pass this passion and curiosity on to new and training nurses in the future.
Outside of work, Linh embraces the beauty of the natural world, and has an appreciation for gardening and growing her own vegetables.
