Care Coordinator - Dr. MacMillan

Leah Abijero

Leah Abijero is driven by the opportunity to help others, working alongside her care team to ensure clients receive the best possible care. She is adaptable, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is always eager to learn. Her empathy and compassion shine through as she recognizes the importance of each team member’s crucial role in a client’s health journey. With a focus on building relationships, Leah finds joy in being a support for her clients, helping them succeed in their health goals. Seeing those around her happy brings her immense satisfaction. She brings warmth to her interactions, and by treating clients like family she can foster trust between them, herself, and the care team.

Leah jumped quickly into Medical Office Assistant work, eager to provide personalized care and collaborate with teams to optimize the capacity of the clinicians around her. She previously worked supporting family practices in North Vancouver for seven years and has additional experience in women’s health and chronic pain clinics. Leah aims each day to make a positive and noticeable difference in people’s overall well-being. She brings additional experience in customer service from working in hospitality, knowing easily how to brighten someone’s day.

Leah is a dedicated health and fitness enthusiast; you can find her weightlifting at the gym at 5 am and caring for her mental health by watching the sunset at her local beach. She has a deep love for nature, music, dance, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with loved ones. She aspires to one day care for children in rural countries and to work / volunteer at an elephant sanctuary.
