Laura Coons

Laura is passionate about building long-term relationships and supporting clients on their wellness journeys through a proactive and preventive approach to health. In her nursing practice, she focuses on promoting health and well-being, empowering clients to achieve their goals through personalized coaching and attentive care. A collaborative healthcare professional, Laura specializes in chronic disease management and individualized care planning, always prioritizing comprehensive and compassionate support tailored to each individual.

Laura earned her Diploma in Nursing from Humber College in Etobicoke in 2002. Since then, she has worked with Family Health Teams in Etobicoke, Garrison Creek, and South Barrie, primarily in primary care settings. She excels in treatment education, preventive screening, and follow-up coordination, demonstrating her ability to seamlessly blend technical expertise with client-centered care. Her background also includes hospital roles in cardiology, obstetrics, and the NICU, where she refined her skills in patient advocacy and empathetic care. Laura brings additional expertise in travel consultations, immunizations, minor procedures, cardiovascular health education, and lactation support, enabling her to deliver a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of her clients.

When not supporting clients in their health journeys, Laura enjoys sailing, both cruising and racing. She also loves traveling, hiking in the outdoors, and spending quality time with family and friends.
