Registered Nurse

Kathryn Thompson

Kathryn is guided by a deeply held belief: healthcare is most transformative when it empowers individuals to take an active role in their well-being. With over a decade of nursing experience, she is inspired by Harrison’s preventive model, which emphasizes treating clients holistically and building a strong foundation for optimal health. Kathryn values relationship-based medicine for the meaningful connections it fosters, allowing her to offer personalized care that promotes understanding, independence, and long-term wellness through education, compassion, and consistent follow-up. Renowned for her exceptional communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills, she is dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes, advocating for clients, and cultivating cohesive team environments.

Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mount Royal University in 2011. She began her career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Obstetrics at Foothills Medical Centre, where she spent seven years providing compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in complex cases. As a leader in triage and antepartum settings, she built a strong clinical foundation while prioritizing client-centered care. In 2016, Kathryn transitioned to primary care and family practice, thriving within multidisciplinary and integrated teams. She has since delivered concierge-level nursing support, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and care providers.

Kathryn excels at coordinating care plans for clients with complex medical needs, collaborating across multiple specialties, and navigating healthcare systems to connect clients with external specialists and community resources. She is a strong advocate for comprehensive health screenings, immunization programs, and client education, all of which support early detection and disease prevention.

Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys camping, travelling, and spending quality time with her family and children.
