Jill Payne is a passionate Nurse Practitioner who values preventive care medicine. She enjoys working on a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to draw on the expertise of various health care providers to collaborate on client care. She works with clients across the life spectrum and prioritizes the development of long-term relationships built on connection and trust.
Jill grew up just outside London, Ontario where she completed her Bachelor of Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario while also competing on the Varsity rowing team. She followed this with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and began work as a nurse in general surgery. As a registered nurse, she provided care to patients on the neurology, burns, plastics and trauma unit, and the spine unit. She went back to school for her Master of Science in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner at the University of British Columbia in 2013. Since graduating, she has worked exclusively in primary care, with a special interest in pediatrics, families, young adults and women’s health.
Jill has a passion for learning and strives to provide the best evidence-based care in her practice. She enjoys empowering her clients through education and supporting them as they navigate health decisions and achieve their wellness goals on their own terms. She is very approachable and prides herself in being thorough and comprehensive in the care and follow up that she provides.
Outside of work, Jill enjoys travelling and photography. She can often be found outdoors, spending time with her family, hiking, cycling, and kayaking.
