Erin’s approach emphasizes building strong relationships with clients and their families. She combines exceptional interpersonal skills with a sharp focus on detail-oriented and time-sensitive procedures.
Erin began her education with Medical Laboratory Assistant training at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1996. Since then, she has accumulated a wealth of experience across various healthcare settings. Her career includes working in Alberta Children’s Ward laboratories, the Canadian Red Cross component lab, and over a decade as a Primary Care Paramedic in Calgary and Siksika & Nakoda Indigenous communities. In 2014, Erin relocated to Australia, where she spent seven years working in a multidisciplinary pathology lab at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Throughout her career, Erin has developed extensive expertise in specimen collection, preparation, and analysis across multiple disciplines, including haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and histopathology. Her vast experience in processing diagnostic samples from diverse clinical environments ensures clients receive accurate and timely results. Erin’s background as an Emergency Medical Technician, along with her work at Canadian Red Cross Blood Services, has further enhanced her skills in service delivery, quality control, and inventory management.
Outside of work, Erin is an accomplished triathlete, having completed two Ironman races and fifteen 70.3 events. She enjoys trail running, mountain biking, and is a passionate animal lover. Erin actively volunteers with various animal welfare organizations, fosters deaf dogs, and is a certified dog psychology trainer and coach.
