Dr. Anstey approaches healthcare with a passion for improving lives and a deep commitment to guiding clients on their wellness journeys. He embraces preventive care to proactively optimize health while also providing treatment and support when his clients face illness or disease. He finds fulfillment in empowering clients to take control of their overall well-being. With a focus on treating the whole person, his practice emphasizes the importance of nutrition and physical activity as key pillars of health promotion. Dr. Anstey works closely with clients to address their unique circumstances, leveraging the strengths of Harrison’s collaborative clinical team to provide comprehensive assistance.
Dr. Anstey earned a Master’s degree in Human Physiology from the Université de Montréal, followed by a medical degree from Memorial University in Newfoundland and residency training at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He has also completed additional training in nutrition to better support clients in making informed lifestyle choices. His diverse career spans various healthcare settings, including community-based and multidisciplinary clinics across rural and urban Alberta, as well as international experience in Switzerland. This broad exposure has provided him with valuable insights into different healthcare systems and patient needs. These experiences inform his holistic approach to family medicine, enabling him to tailor care to each client’s unique goals and circumstances.
Originally from the East Coast, Dr. Anstey now calls Calgary home. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, and cycling—activities that keep him grounded and energized.
