Medical Director, Toronto (Midtown) & Family Physician

Dr. Sofia Nastis

Dr. Sofia Nastis has a particular interest in preventive and lifestyle medicine, with a focus on helping clients understand the factors that influence their health. She recognizes the importance of looking beyond immediate concerns to consider how daily habits, medical history, and individual health goals can inform care. Through education and shared decision-making, she helps clients take an active role in managing their health.

Dr. Nastis earned her Bachelor of Medical Sciences with Honours Specialization in Physiology in 2011, followed by her Doctor of Medicine in 2015, and became a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2017, all from the University of Western Ontario. Her clinical experience includes comprehensive family medicine, lifestyle medicine, virtual care, women’s health across all life stages, and care of the elderly. This range of experience allows her to consider how a client’s health needs may evolve through different stages of life, while keeping early intervention and continuity of care at the forefront.

As Medical Director at Harrison Healthcare, Dr. Nastis works closely with executive leadership in Toronto and nationally to advance clinical and operational improvements that support high-quality client care. She also serves as the national clinical lead for an initiative focused on diabetes management, bringing together clinical expertise and technology to support more informed care decisions for clients living with diabetes. Her background in digital health extends to her role as digital navigation lead for a family practice network, where she has worked to integrate technology into primary care. Beyond her leadership responsibilities, Dr. Nastis contributes to medical education as an Expert Reviewer for online learning programs and works with lactation consultants and pediatricians at The Nest Breastfeeding & Prenatal Services to support new mothers.

Dr. Nastis embraces her Greek heritage and is an active member of the Canadian Hellenic Medical Society. A former basketball player, she now channels her energy into keeping up with her two children and attention-seeking dog, while dreaming of her next travel adventure, often to her beloved Greece.
