Dr. Strydom earned his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch Medical School in South Africa and completed training at Frere Hospital in East London and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, England. He served as a marine medical officer at the Institute for Maritime Medicine in Simon’s Town, which included providing medical and surgical services aboard the SAS Agulhas during an Antarctic expedition. After relocating to Canada, Dr. Strydom practiced rural medicine in Saskatchewan and Alberta and led his own general practice in Abbotsford and Vancouver. Since 2020, he has focused on delivering highly detailed and personalized Comprehensive Health Assessments.
An avid sailor, Dr. Strydom also enjoys biking, playing guitar, and a good game of chess.
