Dr. Morin’s path to medicine was a natural progression from his 14-year career as a teacher, driven by his passion for helping people. He completed his undergraduate at Laurentian University, followed by a Bachelor of Education at the University of Toronto. He taught a variety of ages and courses, including senior honours English and worked in special education, supporting students with behavioural challenges. Inspired to make an even greater impact on the lives of others, he pursued medicine at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, graduating in 2009. He then completed his residency at the University of Toronto in 2012.
Since then, Dr. Morin has been practising family medicine in Barrie while actively teaching medical students and residents. His areas of expertise include newborn medicine, paediatrics, sports medicine, and gynaecology. This unique combination of teaching and medical experience enables him to excel in client education, guiding them to better understand their health, adopt healthier lifestyles, and navigate the healthcare system with confidence.
Outside of work, Dr. Morin enjoys distance walking and can often be found commuting on foot or exploring Toronto, appreciating its architecture, and meeting new people. A passionate reader with a love for literature, spanning from Chaucer to Margaret Atwood, he also collects African wood carvings, forging meaningful connections with the artisans he meets.
