Nurse Practitioner, Vancouver

Danielle Major

Danielle believes that exceptional healthcare begins with education, trust, and empowerment. Her approach focuses on building meaningful connections with clients and their families, ensuring each visit delivers expert care while instilling the confidence to make informed health decisions. At Harrison, Danielle has found a perfect alignment with our shared values of compassion, innovation, and excellence, as well as a collective drive to improve healthcare delivery and make thoughtful, high-quality care accessible to all. Her clinical philosophy emphasizes collaboration and holistic wellness; while she has a passion for working with children and youth, Danielle also works closely with clients of all ages to address unique health needs in an environment where they feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Danielle earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University in 2017 and her Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of British Columbia in 2024. Her clinical expertise spans paediatrics, mental health, and women’s health, reflecting a comprehensive approach to primary care. She gained invaluable experience working with vulnerable populations, including serving as a Leukemia/BMT Inpatient Nurse at Vancouver General Hospital and providing primary healthcare for HIV-positive clients at the John Ruedy Clinic. Most recently, she honed her expertise in paediatrics as an NP in a specialist office, providing comprehensive care to those with complex needs while supporting their families.

Danielle also brings extensive experience supporting children and young families from her time at a Primary Care Network clinic, including well-baby checkups, vaccinations, minor procedures, and sexual and reproductive health. Whether managing chronic conditions, providing foundational preventive healthcare education, or supporting mental wellness, her dedication to building health literacy and helping clients optimize long-term health outcomes is evident in every interaction.

Outside the clinic, Danielle enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is currently learning Latin dancing and absolutely loves it!
