Registered Dietitian

Christine Shaddick

Christine is a passionate dietitian who loves to teach clients about nutrition in a way that is personalized, meaningful, and motivating. Her philosophy is that through education and collaboration, she can empower people to become the healthiest version of themselves, on their own terms.

Christine earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Western Ontario and completed an accredited internship from North York General Hospital in Toronto. Christine has always been passionate about preventive health and worked at the Cleveland Clinic in Toronto prior to moving home to Vancouver in 2009. Christine has worked in both primary care and private practice doing one-to-one and one-to-family care. She has developed expertise in cardiometabolic risk reduction, weight management, digestive disorders, prediabetes, women’s health, and practical nutrition like meal planning, cooking, and navigating restaurant menus.

Christine has a deep love and appreciation for all things food. She appreciates that food is as much about enjoying life, experiencing travel and culture, and embracing quality time with family and friends as it is about health. She hopes to share these values with her clients so that food becomes a positive influence in their lives.

With two young boys, Christine has gained some wisdom around the joys (and challenges) of feeding a family when time pressures exist, and food preferences are not always aligned. She is most happy chasing them around the pool, on the rugby pitch, or at their family cabin on Valdes Island. When there is a window of solo time, you can find her at Kondi fitness, perusing local farmers markets, hosting friends for happy hour, or planning her next trip to an outstanding food and wine destination.
