Candy is passionate about helping people build the knowledge and confidence they need to take an active role in their health. She takes an educational approach to exercise and movement, empowering clients to better understand their bodies, their conditions, and the role movement can play in improving their well-being. For Candy, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing that understanding translate into meaningful outcomes and lasting improvements in quality of life.
Candy holds a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Exercise and Health Science (Honours) from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Her experience includes working as both a sports scientist and clinical exercise physiologist, supporting performance testing and providing exercise-based treatment for individuals with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. She has broad experience with a particular interest in musculoskeletal health, including sports injuries and chronic pain management. Candy has also contributed to published research, authoring a study examining neck strengthening interventions in both soccer and Australian football athletes AFLW athletes. Drawing on experience in research, sports performance, and clinical care, Candy brings a well-rounded perspective to exercise physiology and an appreciation for the many ways movement can support health, recovery, and long-term well-being.
Outside of work, Candy enjoys playing soccer, travelling, and exploring Vancouver’s food scene.
