Ashley believes that exceptional healthcare requires compassion, longitudinal relationships, and a genuine commitment to making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. She has a deep passion for client- and family-centred care, building lasting relationships while supporting them through all stages of life. Her approach emphasizes prevention and health promotion, and she thrives in multidisciplinary team environments, where her collaborative nature and effective communication contribute to optimal health outcomes.
Growing up in the Yukon, Ashley always felt a strong calling to help others, which led her to Calgary to pursue a career in nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Calgary in 2010. Following graduation, she spent four years working in general surgery and surgical oncology before dedicating more than a decade to a high-acuity obstetrics unit at Foothills Medical Centre. During her tenure in labour and delivery, Ashley has demonstrated versatility and expertise, serving as a staff nurse in labour rooms, triage, and antepartum care. She has also worked in the operating room as both a scrub and circulating nurse and has taken on leadership responsibilities as a charge nurse. This extensive experience has equipped her with exceptional clinical skills and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations. She is particularly passionate about fostering greater continuity of care and promoting preventive health strategies.
Outside the clinic, Ashley enjoys curling up with a good book, practicing yoga, savouring a quality cup of coffee, and spending meaningful time with her family.
