Alex is a highly enthusiastic and sociable Cardiovascular Technologist who was drawn to the profession during an impactful visit to the cardio-pulmonary department at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He is committed to enhancing Canadian healthcare by prioritizing client-focused care and wellness for optimal outcomes. His dedication is evident in his expert delivery of advanced diagnostic tests, his empathetic approach which ensures client comfort throughout the testing process, and his efforts to foster strong relationships within Harrison’s multidisciplinary team.
Alex graduated with honours and was recognized with a student tutoring mentorship award from the Cardiovascular Technology program at CDI College in 2008. Subsequently, he secured a full-time position at a busy cardiology practice in Edmonton, where he worked alongside 16 cardiologists. Demonstrating clinical expertise and ambition, Alex quickly advanced to the role of lead technologist at the Canadian Centre for Heart Attack & Stroke Prevention in Vancouver. He brings a wealth of experience in administering stress tests and Holter monitor scanning. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of Toronto and a Personal Trainer Certification, which fuels his advocacy for holistic health and his passion for motivating clients to lead healthy and active lifestyles.
In his free time, Alex enjoys engaging in a variety of physical activities and delving into literature on the latest medical advancements, business strategies, and technological innovations. He values quality time with family and friends, whether it’s hosting barbecues, spending moments with his beloved pup, experimenting with healthy cooking, or simply immersing himself in nature. An avid global traveler, Alex also speaks three languages fluently.
