Exercise Physiologist

Avyn Rowlands

Avyn has a vision to inspire clients to step outside their comfort zone and explore how tailored exercise programs can optimize their health. He loves connecting with clients on a personal level to ignite their motivation for achieving wellbeing through movement. While he appreciates success in his clients’ physiological data, what matters most to him is seeing them develop a sense of empowerment from being more physically active. With a compassionate, down-to-earth approach, Avyn collaborates with colleagues so that together they can deliver highly personalized and optimized care to each client.

In 2014, Avyn earned a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He holds ACSM-CEP registration and has experience delivering exercise rehabilitation services, both in-person and remotely, for a wide range of chronic conditions. By integrating fitness and movement with other lifestyle factors, Avyn develops customized programs that produce optimal health outcomes. He has honed his skills in screening, assessment, and adapting exercise plans to match the evolution of a client’s health status and goals through leadership roles at community exercise clinics and his previous personal training experience. Avyn appreciates working with other health professionals to champion the multidisciplinary approach to wellness.

An avid outdoors enthusiast, Avyn enjoys snow sports, mountain biking, and rock climbing when he’s not training at his local gym. A professed music-lover and he also enjoys some downtime by playing acoustic guitar.
