Angela is dedicated to creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere for clients throughout their healthcare journey. She is passionate about providing personalized care, ensuring each client feels at ease during procedures and leaves with a sense of satisfaction. Combining technical expertise with a warm, attentive demeanor, Angela fosters an environment where clients feel comfortable and confident returning to the lab. Her commitment to precision and client comfort allows her to excel in coordinating with multidisciplinary care teams and managing high-volume lab services.
Angela began her healthcare career in 1998 at McMaster University, working in biomedical research and with small animals. She later completed the Medical Laboratory Technology program at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, graduating in 2005. In 2009, she earned her national certification from the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science. Her expertise spans phlebotomy, lab coordination, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in primary care, and research support. Her experience in both clinical and research settings has honed her ability to deliver precise, compassionate care under pressure. Angela has supported research teams in areas such as prostate cancer and COVID-19. Notably, she contributed to Canada’s largest COVID-19 research study, collecting samples from long-term care and retirement home residents to evaluate vaccine effectiveness.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Together, they explore the outdoors through hiking, paddleboarding, and winter camping in Kananaskis. When she has time to herself, she finds solace in road cycling and weightlifting.
