Janelle has a deep appreciation for each individual’s unique story and approaches her work with empathy and understanding. Janelle thrives in fast-paced medical and community health settings, where her ability to build rapport quickly ensures that clients feel valued and supported from the moment they connect with Harrison.
Janelle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from Capilano University in Vancouver, which she completed in 2022. Prior to this, she earned a Diploma in Music from Selkirk College in Nelson, BC, in 2013. As a Certified Music Therapist, Janelle has worked in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, hospices, and long-term care centres. Her professional experience includes serving as a Program Manager at a seniors’ community club, where she developed engaging programs and cultivated strong community relationships. Janelle has also supported youth and adults as a music therapist, helping clients navigate a range of social and medical challenges. She is particularly attuned to making clients feel at ease, even when they are facing difficult circumstances.
Outside of work, Janelle is an avid reader and animal lover. She enjoys staying active through biking & aquafit, expressing her creativity through various crafts, and continuing her passion for making music.
