Julie Junkin

Julie believes in the power of personalized preventive care to empower clients in their health journey. With a strong focus on developing meaningful connections, she works collaboratively with individuals and families to create tailored health plans that align with their unique goals and lifestyles. Julie’s approach to prevention is rooted in empathy and client-centered care. She takes genuine joy in understanding her clients’ challenges and creating a supportive environment that fosters open communication and shared decision-making. Motivated by a desire to see her clients succeed, Julie celebrates their achievements alongside them, knowing that each step forward contributes to better health outcomes and a stronger sense of well-being.

Julie completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) in 2005. She then pursued her Master’s in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification in Primary Health Care at McMaster University, graduating in 2011. With a solid foundation in evidence-based practice and a commitment to lifelong learning, she is particularly passionate about pediatric and women’s health, utilizing her expertise to provide comprehensive care with compassion. Over the years, Julie has honed her skills in various healthcare settings. She began her career in Mental Health at St. Michael’s Hospital, followed by a position in General Surgery at Toronto General Hospital. As the clinical lead for Nursing at the Etobicoke Medical Centre Family Health Team, she mentored new staff and supported the nursing team.

Outside of her professional life, Julie is a devoted mother of three children. She finds joy in nature and is an avid runner, having completed several marathons. Julie also volunteers annually on the medical team at Camp Northland, combining her passion for healthcare with her dedication to community service.

Julie will be available to see clients when Harrison Toronto (Midtown) opens in October 2025.
