Marty MacLure

Marty strives to honour each client’s journey with an individualized care plan that is built on Harrison’s values of compassion and innovation. She is eager to help all clients normalize their personal struggles and create a collaborative bond that will allow clients to feel supported and take constructive steps forward.  She loves to deliver best in class customer service and experience, knowing it will lead to better health outcomes.

Marty earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of PEI and went on to complete a Master of Counselling Psychology at the University of Calgary. She is a practising psychotherapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor with broad experience. She has worked as a Mental Health Therapist for provincial community health services, in private practice, and has supported employee mental wellness through corporate contracts. Grief and loss are a particular area of interest for her.

Marty loves to empower clients to weather their own storms. From helping them recognize the need for change, to navigating their options with confidence, and championing their success. Marty treats clients as if they were family and is ready to provide stability when it’s needed.

She thrives as a contributor on a multidisciplinary team and enjoys problem solving and filling the gaps to ensure high quality care and efficiency. Marty is a relationship builder, and is a positive link between the Harrison team, our clients and the greater mental health community. She loves to be part of the movement that is creating healthier, happier and engaged people and communities.

Marty loves to be outdoors 12 months of the year, from camping to snowboarding. Motivated and inspired by change, she likes to try new things which has happily opened the door to eclectic friendships, memories, and interests with room for more!
