Exercise Physiologist

Emily Swann

Emily loves to help clients improve their movement, fitness, and strength in an enjoyable and approachable environment. She appreciates the commitment across all of Harrison’s multidisciplinary team to collaborate and work collectively towards the vision for better health outcomes. A former high-performance taekwondo athlete herself, she is goal oriented and passionate about helping clients achieve their own goals. She is focused on optimizing performance through a preventive and evidence-based approach not simply in exercise or sport, but for life in general.

Emily graduated from Camosun College in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic and Exercise Therapy. She is a practicing Kinesiologist, Certified Athletic Therapist, and CSEP – Certified Exercise Physiologist (Candidate). With experience in private clinics, Emily has worked in musculoskeletal and injury assessment, applied manual therapy, and she has also developed prevention and rehabilitation programs for adults, children, and high-performance athletes.

Emily has a particular interest in active rehabilitation with expertise in injury prevention, pain management as well as fitness and exercise prescription. With compassion, respect, and honesty she builds genuine relationships, making her an excellent coach and motivator for her clients.

When away from work, Emily can be found boating, skiing, and enjoying the adventures of travel. Taking a balanced approach to life, she also appreciates mellowing out by creating art, pottery, photography, and spending time with her family.
