Dr. Gio Miletto is a passionate and caring Family Physician with additional interests in systems change and healthcare innovation. Originally from the UK, he completed his medical training at Imperial College London and finalized the Canadian licensing exams in 2012. He also holds a Masters in Health Policy, Planning and Finance through the London School of Economics and the London School of Tropical Hygiene and Medicine.
Dr. Miletto is a seasoned physician with over 20 years of family practice experience in the UK and British Columbia. An equal learner and leader, he works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure health outcomes and teamwork are optimized.
Dr. Miletto is also very active in the broader healthcare community both nationally and overseas. These engagements include work with a leading provider of international lab testing solutions, immunization clinics for travelers, and an angel investment group for disruptive healthcare ventures. He is also part of a research team for a West Africa-based project to reduce infant mortality.
He has spoken on health topics for the CBC and CTV in Canada and in the UK media, producing a show called the Food Hospital. He contributes to a UBC advisory council for health entrepreneurship with other industry-leading innovators supporting growth and development in medicine. Dr. Miletto is constantly curious about what matters most to people – purpose, meaning, and connection.
