Personalization is key for Avril, who believes in providing healthcare in a way that clients can feel like friends. Her client-centered approach emphasizes building meaningful relationships through understanding each person’s unique health journey. Avril’s passion is ensuring that every client feels supported and cared for as part of the Harrison family.

Avril began studies at Langara College before discovering her passion for the healthcare field. After completing the Medical Office Assistant certification from Vancouver Community College in 2014, Avril began her career with Richmond’s Obstetricians and Gynecologists group. There she gained considerable experience and expertise working closely with patients during important healthcare milestones. She provided support to the team at Terra Nova Midwifery during their expansion from two to eight practitioners, proficiently managing the increasing workload while upholding client satisfaction and a high level of service delivery. Accustomed to working under pressure, she refined her skills in compassionate customer service as a barista at the busiest Starbucks in Richmond, BC, prior to her career in healthcare.

In her spare time, Avril enjoys trying new restaurants and local coffee shops, playing and watching soccer, cycling on her Peloton, and walking her dog. She is an eager traveller and encourages friends and family to join her Self-Care Sunday routine.
