Andrea practices a very collaborative approach to care and is eager to support her clients in achieving their goals with evidence-based nutrition. Her philosophy is about making food a little less serious, cultivating a positive relationship with food, and finding the balance between what nourishes the body and what nourishes the soul. She believes people should be able to enjoy their favourite foods in a way that supports overall wellbeing. In doing so, she helps clients find meaningful solutions to their nutrition challenges in ways that will fit their lifestyle and preferences.
Andrea graduated from Acadia University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and completed her Dietetic Internship in Nova Scotia. She is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor and supports people in the realms of chronic disease management, digestive health, heart disease, body image, and chronic dieting. Her expertise includes the prevention or management of chronic conditions, helping clients improve their relationship to food, increasing energy, and optimizing digestive health.
Andrea empowers her clients to make small changes that have a big impact on their health, and personalizes her recommendations to ensure they enjoy the process as they strive towards their health goals.
Away from work, Andrea enjoys hiking and biking in the summer months or cross-country skiing in the winter. She loves to spend time improving her garden, and is also a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher so she can be found practicing and teaching at her favourite local studio.
