Afsoon holds a Master of Science in Genetics from Shahid Beheshti University and a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from Shiraz University, both located in Iran. She completed her Medical Laboratory Assistant Program at CDI College in Burnaby, BC, with clinical practicums at Burnaby Hospital and Eagle Ridge Hospital. Her laboratory experience spans both hospital and private lab settings. With over five years as a Molecular Genetics Technician, Afsoon has honed her skills in performing medical diagnostic tests and troubleshooting complex laboratory procedures. Her strong background in customer service and clinical support, combined with her involvement in genetic counseling, has developed her excellent communication skills.

Away from the lab, Afsoon cherishes quality time with her family, especially her young son. She also embraces the great outdoors hiking and exploring nature’s wonders.
